New Sodexo Live! brand to take advantage of the group’s expertise in the fields of sports, events and hospitality

The Sodexo Group has sent a signal of its ambition to develop its activity in the world of sports, events and hotels by creating a new global brand – Sodexo Live! The group says the plan is to leverage all of its expertise around the world in this sector.

This transaction illustrates Sodexo’s confidence in this market and its potential for a rebound. The group points to a September 2021 study conducted by Harris Interactive for Sodexo Live! in the United States, United Kingdom, France and Spain. It showed that 80% of those polled feel comfortable again attending sporting, cultural or professional events, a figure they say is 20 points higher than in September 2020.

Since the creation of a company dedicated to the sports and entertainment sector, Sodexo claims to have generated strong returns, reaching a turnover of 1.7 billion euros in fiscal 2019, before the Covid crisis. The return of face-to-face, in-person events, he says, “is the result of an exciting demand in what is a structurally growing market.” To fully accelerate in this active market, the group affirms that the Sodexo live! the brand will be based on three fundamental pillars:
