  • Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs at Toyota Center | tuesday january 25 – It’s Rodeo Night in this I-10 showdown between two young downtown teams. Get ready for the return of Houston’s signature event in late February with special halftime entertainment and a celebration of the rodeo’s 90th anniversary. Tickets range from $15 to over $1,000, but you can find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7 p.m.
  • Hot Chocolate 15K/5K at Sam Houston Park Downtown | saturday 29 january – In two lengths, hordes of chocolate lovers will head to Allen Parkway and return for a post-race celebration with finishing medals and cups filled with fondue, dips and hot chocolate. $74 for the 15K; $54 for the 5K. 7:15 a.m.
  • Monster Jam at NRG Stadium | saturday 29 january – Watch 12,000 pound monster trucks soar to dizzying heights in a harrowing display of motorsport mania. Additional shows will take place the following weekend, Saturday February 5 and Sunday February 6. $20 and up, but you can find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7 p.m.
  • Sugar Land Space Cowboys Launch Party at Constellation Field | saturday 29 january – Celebrate the start of a new era for Sugar Land’s Triple-A baseball team with a brand change reveal open to fans, featuring food and drink, live music, stadium tours, fireworks, and more. $1 per person; stadium tours are $5. 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • 2022 Autograph Show of Texas at the Pasadena Fairgrounds & Convention Center | Saturday January 29 and Sunday January 30 – Bring some of your favorite memorabilia for autographs and take a photo with sports superstars including Pete Rose, Allen Iverson, Emmitt Smith, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler and more ‘others. $10; free for children under 12. Autographs and photos are billed separately and vary in price. Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
