≤ November 23, tree lighting in the township of Marquette and visit with Santa Claus. Tree lighting at 6 p.m., tours with Santa Claus until 8:30 p.m. at the Westwood Mall.

≤ November 25, IshpeTurkey Trot, a 5km walk or run along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, begins at 9 a.m. and departs from the parking lot of Ishpeming High School, 319 E. Division St., Ishpeming . Find more information or learn how to register at ishpeturkey.com.

≤ November 26, Ishpeming Christmas parade and Christmas tree lighting. The parade begins at 6 p.m., with the lighting of the trees along Main Street following the parade. Kids can visit Santa Claus and Mrs Noel at Santa’s Workshop along Main Street after the tree is lit.

≤ November 27, All Day, Small Business Saturday. Support local small businesses in Marquette County.

≤ December 2, 6 p.m., Winter Holiday Parade and city tree lighting in downtown Marquette. The traditional downtown Marquette holiday parade will return to Third Street and end at Marquette Commons, where Santa and a few special guests will be on hand to light the town’s tree and help kick off the holiday season.

≤ On December 3, the lighting of the community tree in the Gwinn region is scheduled for 7 p.m. The kids can meet Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus and there will be free coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. The organizers also have free hats and gloves for children while supplies last.

≤ December 5, Annual Skandia Lions Pancake Breakfast, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Skandia Township Community Center, 224 Kreiger Drive. Admission is $ 7 for adults (12 years and over) $ 7; $ 5 for young adults (5-12 years old) $ 5; and free for children aged 5 and under free.
