There will be three levels of sessions for referees from March 3 to 31, 2022. Level 1 sessions are designed to provide candidates with a basic knowledge of the latest FIH hockey rules and regulations, the roles and responsibilities of officials, etc to reach Level 2, a candidate must pass an online test based on the Level 1 session taken previously. Level 3 sessions are based on the FIH General Tournament Regulations, FIH Fitness Guidelines for Referees, Information on Match Reports and Statistics for Technical Officials (Judges), HI ranking, the importance of performance feedback reports and various other operational insights.
After the Level 3 workshops are completed, the final assessment of eligible applicants is conducted via an online Viva. “Hockey India is returning this year with Online Workshops for Online Referees, following the immense success of these sessions over the past two years. “Refereeing is of equal importance as we hold various tournaments across the country over the coming year.
