From open water swims to fun night races, here’s your guide to the best sporting events in Dubai in the coming month to get the whole family moving outdoors and help you reach your 30×30 goals in Dubai.

Spinneys Family Halloween Race

Spinneys family fun racing series is suitable for all ages and abilities. Participants can run or walk any distance between 2 and 5 km and strollers are welcome. Entry is 25 Dhs and all runners will receive a t-shirt, medal, snack and downloadable certificate. This Saturday, October 22, the Spinneys are hosting their spooky Halloween-themed edition, a perfect way to get the whole family moving. If you miss this one, don’t worry as the next race will be on Saturday November 12th.

Dubai Festival City Half Marathon

Whether you take part in the fun kids 1km run or test yourself with the full 21km, the Dubai Festival City Half Marathon takes place on Saturday 22nd October and offers a race suitable for all skill levels. There will be cash prizes for first, second and third place in each race, including Dhs1000 for the half marathon winner, Dhs500 for the 10km winner and Dhs500 for the 5km winner. From 6 a.m., runners must register online before Friday, October 21. Good luck !

Open water swimming The Sea

No excuse for a morning at the beach… La Mer open water swimming takes place on Saturday October 29 from 7:30 am. Swimmers can take part in the short distance races as many times as they like during the day, including the 200m, 400m, 800m and 1600m races. Or if you’re feeling confident, see if you can swim the full 2 ​​mile distance. There will be plenty of support and music on earth to keep you going. In addition, all participants will receive a swimming cap, refreshments and a medal.

Expo City Fun Night Races

Expo City is back for good and what better way to explore the futuristic city than with a nighttime family run? The RaceME Night Races at Expo will start on Tuesday, October 25 and will be held every two weeks until March 21. Participants can participate in the 2.5 km or 5 km race through the magical and illuminated city of the Expo with many prizes and surprises for grabs. With a total of ten races from Tuesday 25 October to Tuesday 21 March, residents of Dubai are encouraged to participate in as many races as possible for Dhs 65 per race.

Gladiator Obstacle Course

Challenge your physical and mental strength with over 30 challenges on the region’s toughest Gladiators Obstacle Course. Use your wits and agility to navigate the obstacles ahead, including navigating rocky terrain, challenging climbs, and moving rocks. The 12km loop will be twice as difficult, completing the 6km career loop followed by a desert adventure to climb Faye Mountain. Winners will receive amazing trophies and prizes such as Dhs 1,000 to spend at Adventure HQ. Make it a family day out as spectators can cheer on the Athletes’ Village gladiators with food, music and fun activities.
